Overview
The strongest stories don't just inform an audience. They invite people into a world they can experience for themselves.

Bourbon Country is a documentary series concept exploring the history, craftsmanship, culture, and legacy of Kentucky bourbon through the perspective of award-winning chef Edward Lee.

The challenge was to create a pitch that captured the richness and authenticity of bourbon culture while giving investors, collaborators, and production partners a compelling vision for the series' tone, audience, and storytelling approach.

Working closely with the project's creative team, loft135 led the creative direction and visual development of the pitch, shaping a cohesive identity that brought the concept to life. From narrative positioning and concept development to presentation design, every creative decision was intended to immerse stakeholders in the world of Bourbon Country before a single frame was ever filmed.

Inspired by the sensory experience of bourbon itself, the visual language incorporated rich textures, warm amber tones, charred oak, and handcrafted details. Every design element reinforced the themes of craftsmanship, tradition, and transformation, creating a visual identity that felt as authentic and distinctive as the story it was designed to tell.

Results
The final deliverables established a cohesive visual identity and a polished pitch presentation that elevated the concept and clearly communicated its creative vision. By aligning the narrative, branding, and presentation design, loft135 created an engaging experience that positioned Bourbon Country for conversations with investors, collaborators, and future production partners.
